London Design Festival 2018: what to see at Decorex International

September 3, 2018 / INSPIRATION

There are many reasons to head to this celebration of all that’s great in interiors.

Always a treasure trove of exciting design, the annual Decorex International event is full of inspiring and innovative interiors. This year’s theme, ‘Blank Canvas’, promises to bring out the creative sides of the specially selected designers who have been asked to devise beautiful spaces for the show from scratch. Expect a wide-reaching roster of events, including talks by John Allsopp, Ptolemy Mann and Staffan Tollgard. And be sure to stop by the ‘Future Heritage’ section, where you’ll find distinctive work by up-and-coming names in British craft. With over 400 international brands in attendance – and an elegant bar designed by interior design firm Lambart & Browne – Decorex International is not to be missed.

16 – 19 September; public day, 18 September;

ELLE Decoration’s Executive Editor Ben Spriggs will be in conversation with Tricia Guild OBE at 1pm on Tuesday 18th September. A beacon of maximalism, she will talk candidly about Designers Guild, her love of colour and pattern as well as her work for the charity, Maggie’s. Attendance is free with a Decorex ticket.

ELLE Decoration has teamed up with three exhibitors to create three limited print runs of three exclusive covers for our October issue. Pick up these collectible editions, made for Decorex International visitors at Blackpop, Dedar (pictured at the top of this article) and Officine Gullo’s showcases.
