ELLE Deco International Design Awards 2016

April 22, 2016 / OLD news posts

On 14 April, the international design community gathered at the Teatro Franco Parentifor in Milan for the annual ELLE Deco International Design Awards. Held to coincide with the Salone del Mobile, the world’s largest interior design exhibition, this is the Oscars of design, a night when global talent is recognised and celebrated. The ELLE Decoration team were there to join in the festivities. Plus, some of our favourite creatives walked away with accolades. Most notable was Spanish designer Jaime Hayón, who won Designer of the Year (see below).

Also there to pick up an award for Young Design Talent of the Year were Mirka Grohn and Jo Wilton (see below) of &New. We picked them out for international admiration back in our October 2015 issue, when we named them ELLE Decoration British Design Awards winners in the Best Furniture Design category.
