Sir John Soane’s private apartments and Model Room – a space crammed with architectural models of classical monuments – have been restored and are on view to the public for the first time in 160 years at the famous Sir John Soane’s Museum in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London.

Marvel at Soane’s surprisingly modern combinations of textures and patterns and his original way of hanging pictures – proof that decorating inspiration can come from any era.
