Since 2010 The Campaign for Wool, working with its patron HRH The Prince of Wales, has been celebrating the many benefits of natural wool and shining a light on the UK’s finest craftspeople. This year for Wool Week (10–16 October) it’s gone a step further and fitted out a beautiful B&B in Islington with the best of its woolly finds. Not only will this wool-filled wonderland be holding workshop evenings, interactive talks, film screenings and a wool styling session by Karina Garrick who has directed, curated and styled the project, it is also possible for a lucky few to spend the night.
ELLE Decoration has already slept in the Wool B&B’s glorious bedroom. We had a wonderfully snug time cuddled up on it wool-filled mattress, beneath luxurious layers of woolen blankets and can confirm that it’s well worth flocking to. We especially loved the wonderfully kitsch hand-knitted breakfast, designed by Jessica Dance, and the impressive large-knit wall hanging by extreme knitter Jacqueline Fink. Flick through our gallery (above) to take a look around.
