British perfumer Floris has teamed up with Mayfair craft store The New Craftsmen and textile artist Katherine May to stage a fabric dyeing workshop and installation at its Jermyn Street shop.

Held in ‘the Mine’ – Floris’s subterranean former perfume laboratory, not used since the 1940s – the workshop will allow you to experience May’s expertise in natural plant and flower dyeing, which she uses to make contemporary patchwork pieces. Her accompanying installation will explore the relationship between colour and scent, using Floris’s historic perfume recipes as inspiration for a series of flower-dyed pieces.

If you can’t make the workshop on May 7 (there are only eight places, so book fast) you can also see the installation on the morning of May 9 at Floris, 89 Jermyn Street, London SW1Y.

Tickets cost £40 (thenewcraftsmen.com/textile-dyeing-workshop-with-katherine-may/)
