2 Barnaba Fornasetti’s ‘Il Serpente del Giardino Segreto’ candle uses original Fornasetti design motifs to produce a pot that’s part Garden of Eden, part Rudyard Kipling novel. The scent, the fourth released by Fornasetti Profumi, combines the aromas of cypress, ivy, bergamot, thyme and cedar wood. From £140, Amara 

Barnaba Fornasetti’s new candle, ‘Il Serpente del Giardino Segreto’, makes use of existing Fornasetti design motifs to produce a look that is part Garden of Eden, part Rudyard Kipling novel. 4 The Connaught candle by artist Kristjana S Williams and master perfumer Roja Dove captures the “comforting and sophisticated” spirit of The Connaught hotel in London’s Mayfair. Think notes of amber, vanilla and tonka bean mingling with sandalwood and floral notes. 6 Falcon Enamelware scented cooks candles Set in mini tumblers they’re designed to match the brands timeless cookware, and have been made in collaboration with Secret d’Apothicaire in Normandy, France, known for its luxurious, exotic scents. ‘Fig’ has an earthy, sweet tone and ‘Cologne’ is a fresh and timeless scent. Set in mini tumblers they're designed to match its other iconic designs, and have been made in collaboration with Secret d’Apothicaire in Normandy, France. Founded by Muriel and Frederic Dana, an interior designer and pharmacist, respectively, this French firm is known for its luxurious, exotic scents. The first two candles in the Falcon Enamelware range are fragranced with perfumes from Grasse in the South of France. ‘Fig’ has an earthy, sweet tone and ‘Cologne’ is a fresh and timeless scent. All of the candles are made from 100 per cent natural soya wax with a cotton wick and will burn for 20 hours. Fashion and lifestyle store & Other Stories has made its first foray into fragrance with a new collection of four scented candles. Created by New York perfumer Jérome Epinette of renowned fragrance specialist Robertet, each is inspired by a different space in the & Other Stories ateliers in Paris and Stockholm. ‘La Cour Jardin’, for instance, is a white floral based on the blooms in the company’s courtyard garden on Paris’s rue Saint-Honoré, while ‘7:e Våningen’ is a smoky, suede-and-wood blend that evokes the atmosphere of the seventh-floor Stockholm studio where the brand’s modern graphics come to life. £17 each (stories.com)

10 Hush scented candles. Online brand Hush is known for its gorgeous loungewear – and for sending out its orders wrapped in perfumed packaging. Customers had enquired about the fragrance, so  founder Mandy Watkins launched a home-scent range. Candles and room diffusers come in three scents – Rose & Cassis, Fig & Blackberry Leaf and Pomegranate & Peppercorn – as well as a linen and room spray based on a blend of citrus, wood and floral notes.
