Your car is no longer a status symbol. It’s more than that; it’s a marker of your personal style and the values that are important to you. Drive a Range Rover and it is likely that you believe in craftsmanship and respect the brand’s refined, modernist approach to design. Those are the qualities that Professor Gerry McGovern OBE, Range Rover’s chief creative officer reflected on when creating ‘The London Collection’, the car maker’s first ever lifestyle capsule range.
‘It showcases our brand expression and ethos in a new creative medium,’ says McGovern of the new silk scarves, blankets and reversible jackets modelled here by Adwoa Aboah. ‘Imbued in the same breathtaking modernity, these everlasting and sophisticated pieces are designed in exquisite materials and using timeless craftsmanship.’
Each of the designs feature the abstract ‘Bodyside’ motif that is a subtle nod to the Range Rover cars’ elegant silhouette. On the blankets, which are woven on jacquard looms using super-soft virgin wool cashmere, the pattern is supersized – available in the ‘London Nightfall’ or ‘Cream Tea’ colourway. It’s the ultimate accessory, whether kept in the car or draped over an armchair in the home.

For those who like to wear their love for Range Rover on their body as well as in their home, there’s the reversible jacket, which is placement quilted in the ‘Bodyside’ motif, and silk scarves. The latter comes in two designs: ‘About Town’ which is printed in Lake Como and ‘Chelsea Blossom’ that’s produced in the UK at one of the last surviving mills in Macclesfield.
The collection is ‘the embodiment of bold, progressive design,’ says apparel designer Kimberley Panton. ‘The main influences for the collection came from an appreciation for British mid-century design. It was important to us to celebrate the interplay of colour and to reflect the eclecticness of London living, while harmoniously juxtaposing modernist lines and forms to create pieces that evoke modern grace, vibrancy and sophistication.’
Perfect for the mantlepiece or desk, the final piece in the collection is a Range Rover aluminium sculpture, designed in two colourways, an exclusive ‘Sunset Gold’ colour and ‘Tourmaline Brown’. Shop the full collection at landrover.co.uk
