When Hasbro rereleased its iconic ‘Furby’ toy last year, we knew it was only a matter of time before the cult creature made its way back into mainstream consciousness. Yet the furry phenomenon is not only reserved for cuddly toys: designers from Mexico to Shenzhen have recently launched comforting furniture. While sheepskin is still a viable material choice for such fluffy designs, these days you’re more likely to find biodegradable faux-fur fabrics and long-haired plant-based fibres.
