Fans of Netflix’s phenomenally successful period drama series Bridgerton will be familiar with British actress and singer Golda Rosheuvel’s star turn as Queen Charlotte. Her character’s exacting opinions and avid interest in what’s hot or not at court stretches to her real life, which is apparent from her list of must-visit independent stores, restaurants, entertainment venues and hangouts across the UK capital and further afield, which she recently shared with ELLE Decoration.

Golda Rosheuvel is supporting the American Express Shop Small campaign, which has been running for over a decade and aims to support small businesses by encouraging the nation to back their local high street. This year, American Express has launched Champion Small, a new initiative inviting Cardmembers to champion their own favourite small businesses by nominating them for the chance to win one of ten £10,000 business grants, for which Golda is a judge.

‘I am thrilled to be supporting the American Express Shop Small campaign,’ says Rosheuvel. ‘I am always truly inspired by the incredible energy and creativity that small and independent businesses create in the UK. They bring so much diversity to the high street and are an important part of my life, not least as I’m the proud co-owner of the award-winning Imma The Bakery but also as a judge for Champion Small.
