This is a sofa collaboration unlike any you have seen before. Sofas & Stuff, the brand launched by Andrew Cussins, his wife Julia and their two sons, has collaborated with Royal Ballet and Opera to produce a limited-edition collection of upholstered furniture that brings together craft, storytelling and culture.

‘There is so much storytelling in everything we produce, and we wished to remind our audiences to strive for individuality, originality and also good honest craft skills where you feel the soul of the maker,’ explains Sofas & Stuff CMO Ricky Partner of the four one-of-a-kind pieces that have been designed with consulting costume designer Hannah Edwards.

All of the designs feature couture-level upholstery, with each one modelled after an iconic character from the stage: Odette and Odille from Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Carmen and La Traviata. The pieces draw on the mood and movement of the performances through manipulation of the fabric and fantastical detailing.
