Sitting as it does between the design weeks of Milan and Copenhagen on the calendar, this east London staple (now in its 15th year) still has a lot to draw in the crowds. As well as three new venues – The Luxury Edit at Haberdasher’s Hall, Interiors From Spain at The Museum of the Order of St John, and Workplace on the Square, which will be situated outside The Zetter hotel – there will be plenty of launches and public installations. Here are just a few of our highlights…
Resonance by Fung+Bedford
Former award-winning jewellers Fung+Bedford launched their design studio in Clerkenwell ten years ago, and their obsession with the possibilities of origami can be traced back to their first times working with Tyvek – the material used for their structural folds. Today, they are returning to the old home to present this new installation (pictured above) consisting of four folded and twisted lanterns that will hang from the ceiling of the Church of Design’s – once again located at St Bartholomew the Great.
Wax Collective pop-up
Residents of the Wax Building, Cozmo and Tamart, are joining forces this Clerkenwell Design Week to takeover a previously unseen venue at 30-31 Clerkenwell Green (a former pub no less!). Cozmo will be presenting ‘Squarish’, a new table collection by Danish design duo Ernst Bartholin Jensen, alongside its ‘Hug’ range by Pearson Lloyd, while the latter is launching a new 3-in-1 chair: the ‘Highgate’. It’s one structure, but with a choice of seats that transform it from a solid oak design to one with a fabric or leather sling seat.
‘Out of Boundaries: Design & Art in Dialogue’ by Ethimo
This brand’s newest outdoor sofa, the ‘Loop’ by Elena Salmistraro, is wonderfully unique. The brand hopes to invite you into the process that created it with an installation at its Clerkenwell showroom (35–39 Old Street) masterminded by Salmistraro themselves. It will feature original drawings that offer insight into her thought process.
SCP Clerkenwell Green, a preview
The new showroom and headquarters of SCP may not be open yet, but this brand was not going to miss out on Clerkenwell Design Week. Its outdoor space will be welcoming visitors, with products from some of its favourite outdoor names, from String Furniture (pictured) to Grythyttan Stålmöbler on display. Call it a taster of what is to come…
Loom Light by MIM Studios
The House of Detention will once again be home to Light, a showcase of some of the most exciting lighting brands. Look out for pieces by Brit designers Tom Raffield and Abalon Studio, whose founder Ann Bridgewater crafts beautiful and sustainable pieces from 3D-printed porcelain composite Corallo. A highlight of the space will be this large lantern (pictured) that takes its inspiration from op art.

‘Lollipop’ chair by Deadgood
Deadgood is a British brand that creates commercial furniture with a fun side. And that playful tendency is on full display with this new chair that will be launched during Clerkenwell Design Week at the brand’s showroom (46 Old Street).
Paulton House, Kettal’s new flagship London showroom
Located at 8 Shepherdess Walk, this new 600-square-metre space opens with a bang – at the centre of it all will be a presentation of the Eames Pavilion System (pictured), developed by Kettal in collaboration with the Eames Office, and archival research into Charles and Ray Eames’ realised, unrealised and some previously unseen projects. Pop by at 5.30pm on Tuesday 19 May for ‘Because Sit Happens’, a conversation with designer Jay Osgerby.
‘Play With Fire’ by Moroso
Zanellato/Bortotto will be presenting this immersive installation, focused on the designers’ ‘Mangiafuoco’ and ‘Clay’ ranges at its London flagship showroom (7-15 Rosebery Avenue). The name ‘Play With Fire’ comes from the processes used in those designs, from applying vitreous enamel to copper to contemporary ceramic techniques. Also be sure to check out the brand’s presence at The Luxury Edit (the new venue at Haberdashers’ Hall) where the ‘Me-Time’ sofa by Garcia Cumini will be one of the highlights.
‘Working Well’ by Another Country and Goldfinger
These two B-corp companies are presenting a new craft-led approach to the modern workplace from their shared stand as part of The British Collection in St James’s Church. On display will be a new desk system, the ‘Work Series Three’ by Another Country (pictured above in an illustration by Sam Scales), and a bespoke bookcase and divider made from ‘treecycled’ elm by Goldfinger – the two pieces will be stamped with the GPS coordinates of where the tree once stood in Cambridgeshire.
‘Volta’ basin by Laufen
This new design for the bathroom, created in collaboration with Yves Béhar and set to launch later this year, has a sculptural form that creates a whirlpool like movement of water. It’s one of the new Laufen designs manufactured in the brand’s new E-kiln. This is the technology that’s allowing Laufen to deliver net-zero ceramic production – a sustainable milestone that will be one of the key talking points for anyone visiting the brand’s space at The Charterhouse.
Oink at Future Talent
Founded in 2025 by designers Dan Jackson and Lulu Davey, this brand is making its debut at Clerkenwell Design Week as part of the Future Talent presentation at The Charterhouse. Its ‘Kruller’ mirror series (pictured) is memorable for the skill it shows as well as a lighthearted quality. Definitely a name to watch.
‘The Layers of Design’ by Bisley
Where colour, material and smart technology meet is the concept for this takeover of the Bisley showroom (32 Dallington Street), where visitors will be shown around the BeSmart Innovation Hub, designed to show how connected storage and smart systems are influencing how workplaces operate today. It’s a contemporary and colourful vision of the 9 to 5.
‘Dialogue between Shape & Matter’ by Florim
Newly renovated, the Florim showroom (56-60 St John Street) is dedicating its expansive window space to three of its newest launches: ‘Formatech’ developed with Gensler, ‘Rinascenza’ by Nicola Gallizia and ‘SensiColore’ (pictured) designed by Matteo Thun & Partners. Each uniquely showcases the brand’s innovative approaches to ceramic surfaces.
‘AI, Value Engineering & The Art of Working Smarter’ by Marazzi
Take the opportunity to peruse Marazzi’s Material Lounge (pictured), at its exhibition space in Clerkenwell – it’s a chance to see ‘Grande Lume’, the award-winning reinterpretation of the brand’s ‘Crogiolo Lume’ tiles on an architectural scale – before listening to a panel talk on the subject that will be dominating the conversation this week and beyond.
‘(RE)CONNECTING’ by Arper
The furniture brand’s showroom on Clerkenwell Road will open its doors and invite people to connect over its new collections – with the help of a glass of prosecco, a negroni, a slice of tiramisu or even a Lego workshop. The latter is intended as a playful moment, in the spirit of new designs, such as the ‘Aom’ armchairs (pictured) by Jean-Marie Massaud.
‘Éclos’ and ‘Nomak’ launches, Cosentino
New innovations are also the order of the day at this brand’s showroom at 1 Hatton Garden. This will be the first opportunity in the UK to see these two new surfaces. ‘Éclos’ (pictured) has an entirely crystalline silica-free composition and incorporates more than 50% recycled materials. Stop by to discover how these materials can revolutionise kitchens and bathrooms.
New launches by VitrA
A beautiful bathroom helps you to start the day well, and that’s a commitment that VitrA is extending even further during Clerkenwell Design Week, with its showroom at 64 Turnmill Street welcoming visitors with a waffle bar every morning. As well as a chance to fuel up, there will also be the opportunity to view the brand’s latest launches – wall-hung bathroom furniture ranges ‘Glora’ and ‘Sareta’ (pictured), as well as the new V-Care 3 range, the next generation of smart toilets.
Kaldewei at The Charterhouse
Dusky pink is the colour of the moment for this bathroom brand, which will be presenting its ‘Meisterstück Classic Duo Oval’ and ‘Miena’ washbowl in the new shade. All crafted from 100% recyclable steel enamel, he designs are one to look out for amid the beauty on display at The Charterhouse.
