Extruded forms is the latest furnishing trend to invest in now

Pieces that have been made using extrusion are back en vogue thanks to their delightfully warped aesthetic

This big design trend is as much about process as aesthetics. To get technical for a moment, extrusion is a way of creating an object by squeezing a material through a mechanical die or cast. Dutch designer Floris Wubben is a leader of the look, using self-designed machines to craft pieces that push the boundaries of ceramics. But it’s not just clay that can be manipulated in this way – there’s a growing selection of extruded designs, made of everything from metal to resin, being squeezed and pushed into existence (and onto your wish list).
