Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour has always been a top location for designers, architects and industry insiders on the hunt for the latest fabrics, the perfect pop of colour or details from trimmings to taps.
The successful launch of WOW!house earlier this year, an immersive design experience that showcased spaces by acclaimed names from Linda Boronkay to Rita Konig in collaboration with some of the venue’s renowned brands, put this interiors hotspot even more firmly on the map. It’s little surprise, therefore, that the hype around Focus – DesignCentre, Chelsea Harbour’s annual international decoration show – is greater than ever.
For five days, 600 brands from around the world will display their new-season collections at Focus/22 alongside a programme of more than 100 events, including workshops, demonstrations and the famed ‘Conversations in Design’ series of main-stage talks.
Our Editor-in-Chief Ben Spriggs will be hosting a discussion with Bryan O’Sullivan of BOS Studio to discuss how his firm’s global perspective is transforming the world of interior design. 11.30am, 21 September. Tickets, £10. Click to book (left).
This year, the show is all about the desire to be transported, via an abundance of pattern, colour, materials and textures from world-class talent. Highlights include collaborations between household names, from Luke Edward Hall and Rubelli to Patricia Urquiola and Jannelli & Volpi, cementing Focus/22 as a truly international affair.
New to Focus/22 is Huma Kitchens, which will be showing new designs by Italian brand Lineaquattro, developed in collaboration with award-winning architects Antonio Lanzillo & Partners. Bringing some American pizzazz, Ralph Lauren Home will also be throwing open its doors in time for the show, having chosen Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour as the location for its new flagship store.
Plus, adding another layer of creative brilliance, a raft of pop-up ‘House Guests’ will be in situ for the duration of the show, including Abigail Edwards and Christopher Guy. And there are plenty of specially commissioned places to eat and drink, sure to provide even more visual inspiration.
Every year, Focus at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour champions imagination and excellence, promoting expert guidance and the sharing of ideas – a free resource for every visitor. What’s not to love? 19 – 23 September at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, Lots Road, SW10. dcch.co.uk
